CAD Design Engineer (Civil) | Taupo

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following :

  • New Zealand CPEng status or heading in that direction
  • Demonstrable strengths in the use of Civil Design software packages (12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD)
  • Exceptional client & project management skills

Licensed Cadastral Surveyors | Rotorua & Hamilton

It’s not often we have a vacancy for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor but with land development projects in the Rotorua and Hamilton regions steadily increasing in numbers, our Survey team needs to expand.

We are looking for motivated Surveyors with a good attitude, solid Surveying experience and the ability to manage the needs of our clients.  You will need to possess the following

  • BSurv (New Zealand)
  • Current NZ Practising Certificate as a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor
  • Experience with 12D & AutoCAD
  • A high level user of relevant equipment & an aptitude for technology

Graduate/Intermediate Surveyor | Taupo & Hamilton

Not licensed yet but mid-way between Graduation and submitting the paperwork?  If you would like to work with a progressive team of Survey professionals, consider joining the team at Cheal.

We have vacancies in Taupo and Hamilton and we are looking for motivated intermediate Surveyors with a good attitude, some basic post-graduate experience and ability to work with clients towards their goals.  You will need to possess the following :

  • BSurv (New Zealand) or National Diploma in Surveying
  • Experience with both Cadastral and Engineering survey projects
  • Experience with 12D & AutoCAD
  • A high level user of relevant equipment & an aptitude for technology

Chartered Civil Engineer | Hamilton

We are now seeking a New Zealand Chartered Civil Engineer to join our Hamilton team. This position is suited to someone who is able to work autonomously as an Engineer in our Hamilton office, whilst playing a key role in the wider Engineering team across several Cheal offices. Our ultimate goal is for this person to grow and manage our Hamilton regional operation. This is a key opportunity for a long term association and potential for shareholding with a top level consultancy.

CAD Draughtsperson | Napier

Located in NZ’s beautiful wine country region, our Hawke’s Bay office is part of a network of 6 branches throughout the Central North Island. With a strong performance culture and solutions-driven team, we are continuing to expand to meet the needs of our national client base.

As part of our expansion, we are seeking a CAD Draughtsperson to be based in our Napier office. This is the ideal opportunity for a lifestyle change whilst maintaining the ability to work on key projects.

The ideal candidate will possess::

  • A high degree of experiance using AutoCAD. Exerience with other design software packages (eg 12D, Civil 3D etc) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional team player with a commitment to quality is an absolute must.
